Accreditation
Thank you for your interest in Smart Health Europe!
We welcome journalists, bloggers, influencers, podcasters, and YouTubers, and look forward to your visit.
Messe Berlin supports representatives of the press, radio, television, and trade media in their journalistic coverage by providing, among other things, press accreditation, background information, and interview opportunities with organizers, exhibitors, and speakers.
Accreditation for the next Smart Health Europe is expected to begin in the summer of 2027.
Accreditation Guidelines
As a trade show organizer, we aim to make it easier for journalists to access information about our events and our company through accreditation. Accreditation is granted solely for the purpose of media coverage.
Media accreditation is available to:
Individuals from Germany or abroad who can prove their journalistic (including photojournalistic) or editorial work (related to the respective trade show topic) as follows:
a. by submitting bylined articles or reports (print, online, TV, radio) on the trade show topic that are no older than six months at the time of the event,
b. by submitting an imprint in which they are listed as editors, permanent editorial staff members, or authors, and which is no older than three months at the time of the event,
c. by submitting the original written assignment from a full-fledged editorial office related to the current trade show,
d. Content creators for a social media channel, podcast, blog, or vlog, or a streaming platform that is thematically related to the respective trade show, has been in existence for at least six months, and can demonstrate regular posts and an appropriate reach. Reach must be demonstrated through metrics such as page impressions, unique visitors, or time spent on the site. In these cases, prior accreditation is required due to the increased administrative effort involved in the review process. The person to be accredited must be verifiably associated with this medium via an online link, whether through a named mention in the imprint or through posts bearing their name. The posts must be verifiably written personally and have a thematic connection to the trade show. A limited number of individuals will be accredited per channel or platform. In individual cases, the organizers may impose further restrictions.
e. by presenting documentation, no more than six months old, proving that they work for a school or college newspaper, or by presenting a valid membership card from a youth press organization.
f. Holders of a valid, nationally recognized press card (more information) or a press card issued by a foreign journalists’ association.
Presenting a press pass is generally not sufficient on its own to qualify for accreditation. The trade show organizer reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify journalistic activity in accordance with points a - f.
Documents proving eligibility should be submitted in German or English. The trade show organizer reserves the right to additionally require the presentation of a valid photo ID. There is no legal entitlement to accreditation. If necessary, the trade show organizer will exercise its right to manage the premises.
The following groups of people will not be accredited:
- Individuals without journalistic credentials, such as customer service representatives, sales managers, advertising managers, webmasters, employees of corporate blogs or corporate websites, PR consultants, product testers, and private accompanying persons.
- German citizens residing in Germany who present a foreign press pass.
- Individuals who present a written assignment from a freelance journalist.
- Individuals who are only privately active on social media.
- Individuals who wish to use trade shows solely for the purpose of acquiring clients for their own paid radio, TV, print, or online productions.
